Color of the Week 12/15

Benjamin Moore's Candy Cane Red evokes warm feelings of Santa Claus, sweet treats, and family gatherings. Of course, this versatile red isn't just for December and Christmastime, but it sure does make a fine backdrop for a dining room decked for the holidays.

Who wouldn't be proud to invite guests into this beautiful dining room for a holiday feast? This room is bright and festive, rich and classy.

How about a bold red ceiling to top off and otherwise neutral room? This high ceiling painted bold red really makes the room. It's that little bit of added whimsy that you wouldn't expect, but that adds a richness that no white ceiling could ever come close to. Ceilings are now being referred to as the "5th wall"  and should not be ignored when decorating your home.

Another great use for red is as an accent wall. A lot of people are nervous about committing to a whole red room, but the accent wall is a fantastic option. You get that bold pop of color and it doesn't overpower the entire room.

Have an old desk or table that could use some refreshing? Why not go bold with red?! This flea market find is transformed into a bold conversation piece perfect for an entry or any other spot in the home that could use a little punch of bold color.

Paint an old mirror in bright red and it has a whole new life!
Red is a great color with so much versatility. It can be just the thing to completely change the look and feel of a room. Red pairs well with white, chocolate brown, or gray and fits into almost any decor style. Will it fit into yours?
